Social Services
The following Social Service Programs have been funded (in part) through the FY 2010 Mini-Entitlement grant:

Center for New Americans – provide Greenfield immigrants and refugees with education and resources to learn English, secure employment and obtain the tools necessary to improve and maintain long-term economic independence and stability.  The Center is located at 20 Sanderson Street in the Youth Center.

Center for Self-Reliance Food Panty – provide food stuffs for low-moderate income residents of Greenfield.  The Food Pantry is located on Osgood Street and is open Monday from 11 am to 6 pm and Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 11 am to 5pm

Greenfield Community College Dual Enrollment – provide an option to Greenfield high school aged students who want to complete their high school education but are experiencing difficulty with the traditional high school environment..  This program will assist 20 “at risk” Greenfield High School students.

The Literacy Project’s Transitions Program – to improve literacy, employment readiness, vocational training, job placement and internships as well as transition to higher education.  The Literacy Project’s office is located at 15 Bank Row.

Western Massachusetts Training Consortium – working through the Recovery Annex, this program will assist persons with lived experiences; assist with job and housing search and conduct a variety of sober social activities.  The Recovery Project is located at 68 Federal Street.
