A. The Human Resources Department is located at 14 Court Square, Greenfield, MA (Town Hall).
The hours are Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM.

A. Yes, all applicants will receive a letter confirming receipt of their application. You may at any time contact the Human Resources Department if you have applied for a job and have received no confirmation of receipt.

Q. What is your selection process?
A. The selection process for hiring is done by first carefully comparing each applicant's education, skills and experience to the minimum qualifications in the job description, as well as looking closely at any transferable skills the applicants may have. Second the department head, and any staff who may be involved in the selection process, as well as the Human Resources Director will look at the qualified applicants to determine their choice for interviewees. The group will then converse and settle on a final 4 or 5 applicants to invite for an interview.
Q. Are all of your jobs civil service?
A. The only jobs in Greenfield that are Civil Service are Firefighters, Fire Officers, Fire Chief, Police Officers and Police Chief.
