Please observe the following to obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate: -Send a written request with the names of the bride and groom -Maiden name of bride -Place of marriage Date of Marriage -Sign the request -We do not mail certified copies of records to Post Office Boxes -Identification such as a driver's license may be required before the record can be issued. See below * -Certified copies are $10.00 each
* If the parents of the bride or groom were not married at the time of birth of either individual on record, or a father was not listed on their birth record, the marriage certificate is only available to those persons listed on the marriage certificate after proof of identification. Mail in requests for these for these records should include a photocopy of a driver's license or similar identification.
In Massachusetts, certified copies of marriage records are kept in the town/city where the couple filed their marriage intentions.
